Students will gain the assumptions for solving the tasks in styling and design with help of CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems and prepare graduates for entry-level positions in styling operations. The course offer a combination of mechanical and styling skills for application in a variety of industries.
orient yourself in the field of CAD systems - their possibilities
design a 3D model of a complex body, perform measurements and analyzes (dimensions, collisions, assessment of continuity and surface quality) and draw general conclusions
describe the possibilities of building a digital 3D model with an emphasis on the pitfalls of individual procedures in terms of editability and follow-up steps (e.g. creating assemblies, applying textures and generating photorealistic outputs)
Skills
---
create digital 3D models of complex shaped bodies using surface modeling usable in industry for follow-up design work
create photorealistic outputs usable for the presentation of future products already in the conceptual study phase
use NX Siemens to create 3D models using advanced surface modeling features
