Course objectives:
|
To apply the knowledge obtained in the introductory course of solid state physics to more specific cases. The specific topics cover functional properties of solid matter (mechanical, optical, photoinduced, etc.) as well as some previously unmentioned phenomena concerning solid state (thermodynamics and solid solutions, magnetism, superconductivity, amorphous materials).

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
vycházet ze znalostí předmětu Fyzika pevných látek 1, zejména pokud jde o poznatky z oblasti atomární struktury, elektornové struktury, vazeb mezi atomy |
pracovat s klíčovými pojmy z oblasti fyziky mikrosvěta (elektron, kvantové číslo, spin, apod.) |
pracovat s fyzikálními veličinami reprezentujícími klíčové funkční vlastnosti studovaných látek (tvrdost, teplota tavení, elektrická a tepelná vodivost, transmitance a reflektance, apod.) |

využívat širokou škálu fyzikálních zákonů pro popis širokého spektra fyzikálních situací |
zacházet se středně složitými matematickými výrazy a rovnicemi |
vstřebávat i citace a ilustrace z anglickojazyčných zdrojů |
