Course content
- Introduction to the subject: familiarization with the basic materials for the production of leather haberdashery. - Leather - their classification by origin, by tanning, by use. - Other materials: linings, auxiliary materials - reinforcing materials, filling materials, threads, adhesives, fittings. - The use of leather for haberdashery products in relation to product technology and its construction.

  • Contact hours - 39 hours per semester

The student is able to theoretically evaluate a comprehensive range of material bases to create a functional design of leather goods.

Knowledge
The student demonstrates the ability to recognize not only leather materials, but also auxiliary materials (components, adhesives). The student is able to recognize which material to use in a particular case.
Skills
distinguishes the characteristics of textile materials from the point of view of their origin, material composition and weaving or knitting will determine what type and quality of fabric is appropriate for the type of garment orientates in weaving, knitting, and nonwoven textiles, distinguish the properties of individual textiles is able to recommend the most suitable materials
