Course content
Lectures: 1. Division of medical equipment 2. Diagnostic devices with graphical output / EKG, EEG, EMG / 3. Diagnostic device with video output / X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MR / The principle of individual devices 4. Use in clinical practice (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MR) 5. Monitoring of vital signs, pulmonary ventilators, anesthesia apparatus 6. Functional diagnostics, gas flow, spirometry 7. Endoscopic examination and surgical instruments, equipment operating halls, high-frequency coagulation, surgical microscopes 8. Special instruments / Acoustic ENT /, / Optical for eye / 9. Radiation oncology unit 10. Biochemical analyzers 11. Hygienic measurement / noise, vibration, exposure / 12. Transmission and processing of data in medical practice 13. Importance of Clinical Engineering, legislation, metrology and inspection equipment Practise: 1. Familiarization with the different types of medical technology and its use in the individual clinics and departments 2. Principles of ECG, EEG, EMG 3. Individual imaging systems and its use in diagnostic practice 4. Practical demonstration clinic 5. Monitoring of vital functions in clinical practice loss of life 6. The use of anesthesia equipment in operational programs 7. Visit of anesthesiology and resuscitation department and operating rooms 8. Overview of endoscopic techniques and its division to diagnose and operational performance 9. Divison equipment in specialized fields. Investigation of hearing and balance, investigations eyes 10. ability to explain basic methods and techniques of measurements on living organisms, principles of sensors, principles of measurement of EKG, EEG, blood preasure, blood flow rate, body temperature; principles of sonography, rentgenometry, tomography; testing of hearing ability
processing and analysis of measured data time frequency domains with the use of computers
