Course content
The examination is conducted orally before a committee and usually lasts approximately 30 minutes. Its primary purpose is the defence of the dissertation theses submitted by the student. The examination procedure and other requirements are governed by the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of West Bohemia. In preparation for the doctoral examination, students may take advantage of individual or group consultations with the guarantors of the respective disciplines related to the examination topics. The doctoral examination consists of: 1. Examination in the field of specialisation 2. Examination in a related specialisation - in consultation with the supervisor, the student prepares a set of arguments supported by a thesis statement in a field related to the topic of the dissertation. 3. Defence of the dissertation theses
