1) Paradigmatic social science-how disciplinary approaches impact scholarly communication Epistemology and ontology Develop your own conceptual approach 2) Refining your research question and linking it to the broader field 3) Identifying the audience for your work Who is interested in reading it? Who should be interested? Identifying the correct journals (go through online library) 4) Telling a story-using your audience and research question to drive the framing of the paper and analytic strategy 5) Talking about research in English-strategies for interpersonal communication 6) Talking about research in English-strategies for presentations 7) Presentations
