Course content
Lectures 1. Familiarization and perception. 2. Social perception errors and how to avoid them - a range of errors with the source in the observer, a range of errors in the person under assessment. 3. The concept of communication - the importance of communication in health care, written form of communication, communication with the media, communication barriers, empathy. 4. - 5. Types of communication - forms of nonverbal communication, communication disorders (double bind, brainwashing), nonverbal meaning communication in dealing with the patient. 6. The art of dialogue - effective communication. 7. - 8. Assertiveness in practice - assertive law, techniques, assertive acceptance of justified and unjustified criticism, assertive expression of anger. 9. Listening - the art of listening actively. 10. Communication with the patient at different age. 11. Communication with handicapped patients. 12. - 13. NŽS - communication with people in NŽS, non-adaptive behavior, personalities with non-adaptive characters. 14. - 15. Basics of crisis intervention. Exercises 1. Training of introduction, introduction techniques. 2. - 3. Verbal communication techniques. 4. - 5. Training communication with the client (patient). 6. - 7. Practicing nonverbal communication. 8. - 9. Training of coping with problem clients (patients). 10. - 11. Training the basics of crisis intervention. 12. - 15. Written test. Presentation of seminar papers.
