Course content
Lectures 1. Intoxication. 2. Respiratory insufficiency and failure. 3. Acute conditions in internal medicine. 4. Acute conditions in neurology. 5. Sudden abdominal events. 6. Infectious diseases in emergency medicine. 7. Selected case reports from urgent medicine. 8. Operational management. 9. Air Rescue Service. 10. Psychosocial urgency, palliative care, transplantation. Exercises 1. Simulation of urgent conditions associated with intoxication on the simulator. 2. Simulation of urgent conditions associated with breathing disorders on the simulator. 3. Simulation of severe internal states on the simulator. 4. Simulation of severe neurological conditions on the simulator. 5. Simulation of severe abrupt abdominal events on the simulator. 6. Access to a patient with severe infection in pre-hospital care. 7. Solution of case studies from urgent medicine. 8. Excursion to the medical operation center of the emergency medical service. 9. System of psychosocial intervention service in pre-hospital care. 10. Specifics of care for a dying patient in pre-hospital care.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 40 hours per semester
  • Attendance on a field trip (number of real hours - maximum 8h/day) - 4 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
