Course content

1. Introduction to health education. The importance of the course "Health Education". 2. Health education - objectives and aims, principles, forms. 3. Health Education - methods,control of effectiveness. 4. Health and its determinants. 5. Health promotion and prevention. Screening. 6. Community projects for health promotion - healthy school, healthy city, healthy company, healthy family. Risk factors affecting health. Healthy life style. 7. Risk groups and options of influence of their lifestyle - health education for adolescents and drug addicts. 8. Issue of smoking and drug addiction. 9.-10. Role of a health related professional in health education in primary care, hospital care (secondary), the tertiary (recovery) care. 11.-12. Options of influence of a society in a field of a healthy lifestyle, regional area. 13.-14. Significance of socio-economic and behavioral factors for a healthy lifestyle. 15. Revision. Seminars: 1. - 2. Excursion to the Regional Hygiene Authority - particularly to the Department of Health Education. 3. - 15. Preparation and presentation of a health education lecture (plan) - topics close to the focus of a graduate profile - aimed at healthy and sick people.
