Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction to the ergotherapy. 2. Definition of ergotherapy. 3. The objectives of ergotherapy. 4. The focus of ergotherapy. 5. Relationship of ergotherapy to rehabilitation, comprehensive rehabilitation. 6. Therapeutical rehabilitation,position of ergotherapy within the therapeutical rehabilitation. 7. Basic terminology and values in profession of ergotherapy . 8. Field ergotherapy workers , recipients of services, practice areas, application of the ergotherapist in practice. 9. Basic beliefs and values of the profession of ergotherapy. 10. History of ergotherapy in the world. 11. History of ergotherapy in the Czech Republic. 12. Ergotherapists education , professional organizations, standards of practice- ČAE. 13. Key competencies of the ergotherapist. 14. Professional load and requirements for ergotherapist. 15. Activity as a tool and a goal of treatment in ergotherapy.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 30 hours per semester
