Course content
|
Introduction. Epidemiology of trauma, mechanism of injury, polytrauma characteristics and associated injuries. The issue of injury prevention. Traumatology of the locomotor system. Whiplash, thoracolumbar spine injuries, types of fractures of the spine, extremities. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Special rehabilitation techniques. Chest injuries - rib fractures, pneumothorax, broken sternum injury to the lungs and heart. Abdominal injuries. Brain injury, spinal cord injury, nervous system. Burns - burns depth, extent of burned areas, the overall condition of the patient, localization burns. First aid. Etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, prevention. Meaning plastic surgery. Specialized nursing care, physical examination sister, assessment of patient needs, determine the nursing problem. Plan nursing interventions. Plan and implementation of education. Specifics of nursing care in traumatology with respect to the patient's age.
