Course content
Syllabus of the course: The importance of nutrition, recommended nutritional benefits, essential nutrients, vitamins. Nutritional disorders in terms of cause, type of disorder, degree of malnutrition. Classical energy-protein malnutrition, marasmus, kwashiorkor. Specific deficiencies: lack of micronutrient, endemic struma, xerophthalmia, nutritional anemia, nutritional osteopenia, beriberi, vitamin deficiency B2, screaming. Excessive nutrition, overweight and obesity. Eating disorders, mental anorexia, mental bulimia and others. Nutritional deficits in different types of alternative meals, necessity of supplements. Nutritional deficits in chronic diseases, curative nutrition.
