Course content
1. Cell. 2. Prions, virus. 3. Reproduction of viruses, infections. 4. Prokaryotic cell. 5. Eukaryotic cell. 6. Membrane organelles eukaryotic cells. 7. Cytoskeleton. 8. Paraplasm of plant and animal cells and fungi cells. 9. Chromosome, structure of the chromosome. 10. Reproduction at the cellular level. Sexual and non-reproductive reproduction. 11. Mithosis. 12. Meiosis. 13. Metabolism of the cell. Credit test.

Basic knowledge of cytology on high school level.
learning outcomes
Know basic characteristics of cytology and microbiology and principles of biology theory.
Know and describe prions, viruses, their reproduction and infections.
Describe prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell, their organelles and other structures.
Know reproduction at the cellular level, sexual and non-sexual reproduction, mithosis, meiosis and the cell cycle.
Skills
Explain differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell.
Use cytology and microbiology terminology.
