Course content
Three days laboratory course. Safety work in laboratory. Sterilization, principes of aseptic work. Isolation of pure culture and work with the pure culture. Cultivation of bacteria. Native observation. Undifferencial and differencial staining of bacteria and their spores. Quantification of number of live cells. Methods of testing of antibiotic and chemoterapeutic effectivy.

Laboratory work
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 24 hours per semester
  • Preparation for laboratory testing; outcome analysis (1-8) - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 30 hours per semester
