Course content
1. Eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell - organelles, intercellular connections, chemical composition, cell vital functions 2. Cells - metabolism, movement, communication, transport, growth, reproduction - mitosis, meiosa, etc. 3. Structure of DNA, RNA, proteins, central dogma of molecular biology, genetic code 4. Structure of the prokaryotic and eukaryotic genome 5. Gene families, repetitive sequences, transposable element, organelle genomes 6. Replication, transcription and post-transcriptional modifications 7. Translations and post-translational modifications, regulation of gene expression, methylation and other DNA modifications 8. Cell cycle control, differentiation, apoptosis, mutation, repair, tumor diseases, operons, phage expression, controlled eukaryotic transcription, signal molecules 9. Methods of molecular biology - nucleic acid isolation, centrifugation, electrophoresis, restriction enzymes 10. PCR, cloning, NK labeling, hybridization 11. Sequencing, sequencing of the new generation 12. Chromatography, in vitro translation, FISH, DNA chips 13. CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) and Their Possibilities for the Future

To know the structure and composition of viruses, eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms.
Know the forms of genetic information, its transmission and adaptations.
Describe replication, transcription and translation.
To know and explain the dogma of molecular biology and describe all the processes that are related to it.
To know differentiation, apoptosis and other similar events taking place in the body.
Know PCR and other molecular biology methods.
