Course content
1) Symmetry and cephalization. Classical and modern approach to phylogeny of invertebrates. Origin of multicellularity. Classification and key features of protozoans (complexity of protozoans, classic and new taxonomy). Group Sarcomastigophora. 2) Groups Apicomplexa and Ciliophora. 3) Phyla Ctenophora, Placozoa and Porifera. 4) Phylum Cnidaria. 5) Phyla Platyhelminthes, Gastrotricha, Rotifera and related "small" phyla. 6) Phylum Nematoda and allied phyla. 7) Phylum Annelida and allied phyla. 8) Phylum Mollusca. 9) Phyla Tardigrada, Onychophora and Arthropoda, Subphyla Trilobitomorpha and Chelicerata. 10) Subphylum Crustacea. 11) Subphylum Uniramia. Myriapods and Hexapods (Hemimetabola). 12) Subphylum Uniramia. Hexapods (Holometabola). 13) Phyla Bryozoa, Phorona, Brachiopoda, Hemichordata, Chaetognatha and Echinodermata.
