Course content
The functional language and specialised structures learned in the previous semester are further consolidated with the help of real-life business correspondence situations. Special care is taken to impart understanding of nuances concerning business communication. Specially - equipped language laboratories are used to practise letter/ e-mail writing. The emphasis is put on improving specific workplace writing skills of students by encouraging them to enhance their written communication skills.

evaluate the functions of business correspondence from the information, language, documentation, formal and social point of view
use the standard for the formal structure of business correspondence
categorize written documents from the formal and non-formal point of view and that of content

analyze English documents from the area of business correspondence
adequately apply the knowledge of formal standards of business documents
adequately use the address of the sender and recipient, date, etc.
adequately use the addresss and final greetings in business letters

describe documents pertaining to the performance and breach of a purchase contract
define written documents from the field of operations and personnel agenda

adequately apply the knowledge of the business writin standards
evaluate a specific document and take an attitude towards it
