Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Ceramics as an archaeological source. 2. Hill forts and urbanization processes in the prehistoric era. 3. Archaeological and written sources. 4. Transport in the prehistoric era. 5. Systems of economy. 6. Processing large-scale archaeological research.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Individual project (40) - 44 hours per semester
  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 60 hours per semester

Knowledge
Students have a grasp of archaeological theory and methodology (MA level).
Skills
Students understand scientific text in Czech and English and are able to interpret and critically assess its content. Students know how to utilize electronic information resources. Students are capable of working systematically and independently. Students are capable of formally presenting their research and leading scientific discussions.

Students have an overview of the contemporary possibilities and issues of the archaeological study of the Prehistory in a European context.
