Course content
Lectures: 1.General procedures in analytic chemistry. Harvest and preparation of samples for analysis. Preanalytic errors in laboratory medicine. 2.Types of analytic reactions. Quality parameters of analytical reactions. Selectivity and sensitivity of analytical reactions, imprecision and inaccuracy, reproducibility. 3.Analytic chemistry - qualitative, separation of inorganic ions into classes. Evidence of selected ions. 4.Basics of volumetric analysis: acidimetry, alcalimetry; Gravimetric analysis. 5.Comprehensive reaction and its application in laboratory analysis and volumetric methods; Precipitation reactions and their application in analytical chemistry. 6.Oxidation-reduction reaction and its application in a laboratory analysis. 7.Potentiometry, pH, ion selective electrode. 8. Principles of an organic analysis. 9.Spectrophotometry, flame photometry and atomic absorption spectrometry, infrared spectrometry. 10.Separation methods: Electrophoretic methods, chromatographic methods. 11.Mass spectrometry. 12.Immunochemical methods - immunoprecipitation, immunoanalysis. 13.Multiplex, chip technology, modern analytical approaches. Seminars: 1.-2. Patient´s preparation for harvest. Harvest systems. 3.-4. Calculations of parameters of quality in laboratory investigation. Preparation of control system in laboratory investigation. 5.-6. Application of flow cytometry (Multiplex,..). 7.-10.Laboratory practice - evidence of ions, volumetric determination. 11.-12. Laboratory practice - spectrum methods. 13. Credit test.
