Course content
Lectures 1. Spine surgery. 2. Chest surgery. 3. Surgery of the abdomen, digestive tube. 4. Sudden abdominal events. 5. Surgery of urogenital tract. 6. Limb surgery, orthopedics. 7. Transplant surgery. 8. Vascular surgery, cardiac surgery. 9. Specialized surgical disciplines, their content and competence. 10. Problems of plastic and aesthetic surgery. Exercises 1.-2. Basics of anesthesia, specifics and tasks of NMHW in the operating room. 3.-4. Specifics and tasks of NMHW in postoperative period of intensive care surgical patient. 5.-6. Drain and drainage. Stoma care. 7.-8. Specifics and tasks of NMHW in transplanted patient, care of donors. Specifics of nursing care for organ donors in Czech republic. 9.-10. Bandages and other surgeries used in surgical wards - practical training.

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 30 hours per semester
