Course content
Lectures 1. - 2. Use and specifics of application of immunoanalytical methods in cardiology and gastroenterology of metabolic diseases. 3. - 4. Use of immunoanalytical methods in oncology. 5. - 6. Use of immunoanalysis for screening programs. 7. - 8. Immunoanalysis and proteomics and the use of immunoanalysis in personalized medicine. 9. - 10. Immunochemical methods - immunoprecipitation, immunoanalysis. A Lab exercise 1. - 2. Determination of the selected biomarker by the ELISA method. Evaluation of measurement results from an analytical point of view. 2. - 3. Evaluation of immunoassay quality parameters - accuracy, correctness, sensitivity, measurement result, working interval. 4. - 5. Measurement uncertainty, measurement errors. Internal and external quality control. Evaluation of the result in terms of contribution to the diagnosis. 6. - 7. Interpretation of results for endocrinology. 8. - 9. Interpretation of the results of tumor markers. 10. Credit test.

  • Contact hours - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for laboratory testing; outcome analysis (1-8) - 2 hours per semester
