Course content
Content of professional practice - organization and technology of work, radiation protection of workers and patients, safety of work with radionuclides, categorization of workplaces - dosimetry, radiation risks, biological effects of ionizing radiation, basic quantities and units in dosimetry and radiation protection - workplace monitoring, emergency procedure, in vitro and in vivo measuring instruments, personal dosimetry, types of dosimeters detecting ionizing radiation collimators, function and distribution, scintigraph, scintillation camera - Data processing in nuclear medicine, imaging methods in nuclear medicine, diagnostic value scintigraphic examination - scintigraphic methodologies in hematology, scintigraphic examination of lungs, liver, spleen, gastrointestinal tract, skeleton, in nephrology and urology, trasplantology, scintigraphic examination of central nervous system, scintigraphic methods in cardiology, oncology, scintigraphic diagnostics of thyroid gland, use of scintigraphic methods in pediatrics - examination of patency of deep vein bed of upper and lower limbs, lymphoscintigraphy - portable scintillation gamma probe and its use in practice, therapeutic use of radionuclides in nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography, RIA methods
