Course content
Lectures 1. The branch of paediatrics and its share in social care for children. Interdisciplinary cooperation. The development of a healthy child: Classification of childhood, growth and development of a child, principles of a healthy way of life, nutrition. 2. Childhood prevention, vaccination calendar, examination, psychology of ill child, pain treatment. 3. Neonatal physiology and pathology. Basic concepts, first treatment of newborn, congenital developmental defects general, neonatal classification, birth asphyxia, immature newborn, respiratory distress syndrome, infection neonates, birth injuries, fetal bleeding and newborn, jaundice of the newborn. 4. Diseases of the respiratory system. Allergic diseases, allergic rhinitis, asthma. Immunoalterative diseases. 5. Diseases of the circulatory system: congenital and acquired heart diseases, rhythm disorders, hypertension. 6. Blood diseases, malignant diseases in children. 7. Diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract. Congenital malformations of metabolism. 8. Digestive diseases. Diabetes mellitus. 9. Diseases of endocrine glands. Diseases of the nervous and locomotive system. 10. Infection. Skin diseases. Mental diseases in childhood and adolescence. Abused and Abused Child, Social Paediatrics. Exercises 1. - 2. Pediatric Emergency. 3. - 4. Poisoning in childhood. 5. - 6. Child injuries. 7. - 8. Basic procedures in first aid and resuscitation care by age. 9. - 10. Sudden infant death syndrome.
