Course content
Lectures 1. Tumors of ENT in I. and II. 2. Thyroid and salivary gland tumors. 3. Tumors of the upper GI tract. 4. Colorectal carcinoma, tumors of the anus. 5. Hepatobiliary tumors and tumors of the pancreas. 6. Lung tumors. 7. Soft tissue and bone sarcomas. 8. Skin malignancies. Breast tumors. Exercise - Practical implementation of simulation, preparation of fixation aids and patient exposure according to individual systemic disease and according to theoretical preparation in connection with lectures.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 48 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 30 hours per semester

to define radiotherapy target volumes in accordance with ICRU recommendations
to list possible side effects of radiotherapy and describes how to treat them
to define the types of fractionation modes
to enumerate the possible adverse effects of radiotherapy and describe how to treat them
to characterize alternative fractionation regimes
to explain the nature of hadronic therapy

to handle basic principles of irradiation process - work on simulators, treatment planning and work on irradiators
