Course content
1. -2. General definition of obesity. Epidemiology of obesity, comorbidities of obesity. Problems of obesity in childhood and adulthood. Diagnosis, classification, treatment, prevention and nutrition. Technical and personnel equipment of the workplace. 3. Care of a hospital bed, bed adjustment with an obese patient, hygienic care, care for skin integrity and positioning in an obese patient. 4. Specifics of nursing care in monitoring physiological functions in obese patients. 5. Specifics of biological material sampling, care for invasive inputs. Specific requirements for diagnostic examination methods. 6. Problems of nursing care of the respiratory system in obese patients. 7. Problems of nursing care of the circulatory system in obese patients. 8. Problems of nursing care for GIT. Nutrition. 9. Issues of nursing care for excretion. Catheterization of the bladder. Enema. 10. Specifics of nursing care for obese patients in intensive care.
