Course content
1. Sunnah a shiah. 2. Shiah - Imamate 3. Shiah - Historical overview. Particular branches of religious thought. 4. Shiah - Ortodoxy and orpopraxis 5. Historical overview of Sufism 6. Sufism from the islamic and from the European perspective 7. Teachings and terminology of Sufism 8. Important personalities of mystical tradition 1. 9. Important personalities of mystical tradition 2. 10. Taríqas 11. Folk Islam (case study) 12. Islamic fundamentalism (introduction to the theme) 13. Islamic fundamentalism (terminology)

learning outcomes
Student will gain the knowledge about plurality of Islamic religion. He will be able to enumerate most important events of Shiah Islam and most important personalities of Sufism tradition. He will analyse fenomens of Shiah Islam, Sufism and present Islamic fundamentalism.
