Course content
|
The importance of analytical chemistry in the control of environmental pollution. Sources and behavior of pollutants in the environment. Sampling, quality assurance, preservation, transportation and storage of samples. Modification of the sample before analysis, extraction of solid and liquid samples Chromatographic methods and their use, data interpretation. Spectral methods and their use, data interpretation. Procedures for the determination of selected pollutant groups. Options for in-situ determination. Fundamentals of QA / QC. Calibration and method sensitivity, accuracy and accuracy of data, reproducibility and repeatability. Reference materials, enriched and blank samples,regulation diagrams. Fundamentals of GLP, method validation, interlaboratory comparative tests, accreditation.
