Course content
Lectures: 1st Samplings. 2nd Basic analysis of environment components. 3rd Introduction to laboratory investigation methods. 4th Interpretation of the principle QA/QC. 5th Ecotoxicological tests. 6th Instrumental methods. 7th The findings of laboratory data quality. 8th Use of laboratory data and development of new methods. 9th Processing of laboratory data. 10th Health test of products and hazardous properties of substances and wastes. 11th Measurement of pollutants in municipal environment. 12th Noise and vibration. Basic concepts and quantities, impact on human health, legislation. 13th Field and radiation. Basic concepts and quantities, non-ionizing and ionizing radiation, impact on the human organism. 14th Measurement of pollutants in the working environment, problems with measuring procedures. Exposure tests, biological monitoring of exposure. Selected analysis of biological material. 15th Closing lecture. Summary, recapitulation. Practises: 1st Measurement of noise and vibration. 2nd Measurement of fields and radiation. 3rd Sampling and selected analysis. 4th Basic methods of measurement of pollutants in the air. 5th Display of laboratory instrumentation. 6th Basic processing of laboratory data on computer.

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 15 hours per semester

Knowledge
The basic knowledge of chemical nomenclature, physical and chemical calculations, quantities and units. Elementary conception of statistical data treatment.
learning outcomes
Students are able to - describe the basic laboratory determination of chemical or physical quantities - name the demands on done determination - apply the legislative requirements to right application of individual methods.
