Course content
1st-2nd lecture Biochemical markers of poisonings. The main discipline of toxicology. Entering channel of nox into the organism, the possibilities of prevention. Therapeutic extensity, toleration, poison addictiveness. The main kinetic parameters of metabolism and poison excretion, compartmen meaning; the dependence of the effects upon dose and concentration of poison. The main types of nox target effects on the organism. Median lethal dose, minimum lethal dose, maximum permissible concentrations, acceptable daily dose of poison, cumulation coefficient. QSAR. 3rd lecture Standard methods of toxicity testing and substance mutagenicity. Biological exposure tests. Two phases of biotransformation. 4th lecture Health harmfulness of the elements C, Si, Pb, nitrogen compound. Health harmfulness of P, As, Sb, Bi. 5th lecture Health harmfulness of oxygen, free oxygen radicals and peroxides. 6th lecture Health harmfulness of sulfur and selenium. Toxicology of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, jodine and their compounds. 7th lecture Health harmfulness of copper and silver. Toxicology of zinc, cadmium, mercury, chromium, manganese, cobalt, iron, nickel. 8th lecture Health harmfulness and dangerousness of aliphatic hydrocarbons. Health harmfulness and danderousness of aromatic hydrocarbons. 9th lecture Toxicity of ethanol and methanol. Toxicology of glycol, phenols, cresols. 10th lecture Toxicity of aliphatic halogenated hydrocarbons, nitro-, amino- and hydrazine derivatives of hydrocarbons. Health harmfulness of aldehydes and ketones. Toxicology of esters of inorganic and organic acids. 11th lecture Toxicologal charakteristics of radioactive substances. Definition of poisons, corrosive substances, narcotic and psychotropic substances; the principles of gaining and storage of poisons. 12th The principles of work with poisons. Definition and classification of combustible. The principles of giving first aid for chemical poisoning. First aid for chemical burns and burns, for eye injury.
