Course content
Weeks 1 - 13 Consultation on the student's proposal and assignment of term project; final assignment of the term project. Guiding the student in looking for their own direction towards a particular problem and finding the basic concept. Consultations about conceptual solution. Consultation and guidance during the student's modelling of individual sketches. Consultation on fitting models on the dummy and shoetree. Comparison with the trends. Comparison with the development in this area. Consultation and guidance in choosing the technology. Assessing the adequacy of the scope and quality of their work. Ongoing compliance with all sub-tasks as directed by the teacher. Submission of the semi- and final versions of the term project within the deadlines set by the teacher. Presentation.

Knowledge
to individually find and choose the field of own creative work, to search for artistic and designer problems and to come with innovative solution, of technical and technological design techniques in the field of fashion design, including the design of footwear and fashion accessories, of reflective strategies of their own style of work and relationship to the individually chosen topic, of designing variants with a view to correctly linking the function and aesthetics of the product, to evaluate and analyze different factors related to the design of more complex product and its industrial manufacturing in cooperation with specialised company, to reproduce and apply knowledge about the technical and technological procedures of processing a 3D model of a product or prototype of complex project assignment, to use ways of critically assessing his own work in a discipline context, to recall the appropriate forms of presentation and promotion of the prototype/project based on the type of customer, viewer or future manufacturer of the product, on ways to justify and defend their own design activities in relation to other members of the design team, to effectivelly search information about local and foreign companies and individuals research the same problematics, to design innovations in technology and product functionality, to reproduce knowledge about recent and historical fashion trend and evaluate their influence on owk and others work,
Skills
o sketch by free hand and 3D editors the design variants of the produced clothing, footwear or fashion accesionaries with respect to its technical functionality and aesthetic qualities, to choose the most appropriate option and create complex project documentation, to submit proposal and selection to the contracting authority and to explain it with regard to the assignment and the established requirements, to submit a serie of proposal with theis advantages and disadvantages, to choose the appropriate modeling technology and to design the prototype technology, based on the technical, technological and ergonomic principles of fashion design, to individually propose new forms of clothing, footwear and fashion accessories, to use reflective strategies of their own style of work and relationship to the chosen or chosen topic, to choose the appropriate technology for producing the final product based on its usage, to elaborate technical documentation of manufacturing, to reflect its work in the context of professional, technical and technological processes, to submit his proposal and selection to the contracting authority and justify it in the respect to the task and his/her requirements, to use and respect the rules and specifics of cooperation of a product designer and industrial company for manufacturing his/ her design,

about planning of more complex project to design more difficult product and product collection in a team and individually, about organizing the time and work on the project, about contexts and effects of particular pieces of clothing together and so on particular clothings in entire unified collection, to use this knowledge to analyze own or others work, about designing variants with a view to correctly linking the material combination, function and aesthetics of the product, about influence of design and shaping to the function and other factors of the clothing, footwear and accesories, about technological procedures of different disciplines needed to elaborate design and realization of a complex fashion project on professional level and its realization in industrial scale, about possibilities and outreaches of fashion design, about possibilities of choosing own way of work in fashion design and about local and foreign companies and individuals research the same problematics, about designing innovations in technology and functionality of a poduct and their collections, about information and assignment sources leading to innovative production, about recent and historical fashion trend and about their influence on owk and others work,

to individually elaborate own project of particular pieces of clothing and their unification into a collection, based on own assignment to find several different variants of solution with accent on diferent functional and processing aspects, to choose most suitable variant, to choose and consequently use the most adequate technology and material composition, to individually choose a sphere of creation and designing of own interest, to be individually finding innovations and own style, writes and equips visualization of the project of fashion collection search in the given or chosen thematic area, to be an active part of a team, to represent own discipline and profession and to individually learn to help develop the common project, to choose the most suitable modeling technology and design the prototype technology, to elaborate the prototype of high quality with the declared procedures, to design technological procedures of different disciplines for industrial manufacturing of own products, to create a 3D model of complex product using standard modeling techniques, 3D editors and 3D printing, to critically assess his/her own work in the field context and style framework, to choose appropriate forms of presentation and promotion of the prototype/project, to reflect effects of propagation and to choose most suitable forms for targeted group, to justify the value of the product / project in the interdisciplinary context, in fornt of a customer and other members of a team,
