Course content
Weeks 1 - 13 Assignment of the theme of term project. Conceptual design and realization of two models of shoes on a given topic. Designing shoes, considering not only functional aspects but the specific thematic content as well. Literature search, sketches, modelling on the shoetree, final design. Selection of materials and industrial components, engineering solutions - cut. Producing the footwear, including finishing.

Successful completion of the main studio subject the previous semester. The course is designed exclusively for FDU students.
learning outcomes
Students will be able to apply their knowledge of technical solutions to shoes in shaping and designing shoes. They will be able to design and choose the most appropriate option for technology and material composition, consequently use this option to create footwear on a specific assigned topic. They will know the principles of healthy and safe footwear, including ergonomics. They will be able to respect them in designing shoes.
