Course content
Weeks 1 - 13 1st DIVISION OF TEXTILES - according to the shape, according to the way of sowing. 2nd TEXTILE FIBER RAW MATERIALS- natural and chemical fibers, their functional characteristics, combustion test. 3rd YARN - the names of basic textile raw materials, spinning semi-products and products, fineness of length yarns, conversion relations, processes of spinning, fancy yarn. 4th FABRICS - Definitions (fabric, warp, weft, weave, sett, tie point, rotate warp weave, weft weave, double bond), bonds of fabrics, types of bonds. 5th - 6th SCHEME of weaving loom - weaving cycle, the names of patterns of fabrics, cotton woven fabrics, flax fabrics, wool fabrics, silk fabrics. 7th KNITWEAR- definitions (knitted cloth, weft knitted fabric, warp knitted fabric, loop, noose, plain stitch, purl stitch), basic division of knits. 8th DIVISION of knitting machines and its operating system - making stitches on reed needle, shapes of knitted products. 9th NON-WOVENS - definitions of notions (non-woven textiles, mechanically bonded non-woven textiles, bonded and layered non-woven textiles, fibrous layer), the production process of non-woven textiles. 10th REFINING - preparatory work, bleaching, dyeing (selecting of appropriate colors, technological process) 11th PRINT - distribution of printing, technological process, selection of appropriate dyes, printing machines, special methods of printing, finishing of textiles. 12th GARMENT INDUSTRY - small textile preparation, distribution of clothing textiles, clothing materials separation. 13th KINDS of stitches, kinds of seams- sewing machine, small technical preparation, maintenance symbols. Teaching familiar with materials not typically clothing (eg, technical materials) that lately more and more beyond the fashion design and includes a basic knowledge of leather.
