Course content
Students of master's program can enroll in this course as in so-called second studio. Weeks 1 - 13 - Introduction to the course of the semester, the teacher's requirements, assignment of semester project. - Creating drawing sketches. - Creating spatial sketches. - Development of conceptual model. - Continuous input, consultations, corrections and submissions of seminar sub-tasks and semester project. - Presentation according to the teacher's requirements. Examples of assignment topics: functionally and dimensionally demanding objects for daily use - electrical appliances, household items, bathroom equipment, office equipment, electronics, street furniture, etc. The task is based on current offers at international and home designers' competitions. Meeting the conditions of competition, including the presentation, is mandatory, but the competition theme can be extended with additional teaching requirements. Possible assignments may be held by external businesses, if their design requirements are the same as MGDP-course requirements. Other assignments may arise directly as part of seminars with regard to the ongoing tasks. During the semester there are assigned 3-4 tasks; assignment deadlines and submission dates are determined according to the requirements of the competition and external customers.

Previous completion of course previous level. Experience and knowledge from other supporting courses.
learning outcomes
Students will be able to creatively design an object for everyday use with respect to the desired function and material, accepting serial manufacturability. Based on the analysis of the task, students will be able to propose several possible solutions and apply the most suitable one, when creating the project. They will master modelling principles and in practical design they will be able to correctly apply their knowledge of procedures for design - sketching and making a conceptual model, presentation model and a model in 3D visualization.
