Course content
1. Lighting technical parameters, overview of lighting systems and optical properties of materials 2. Characteristics and principle of used light sources in practice 3. Characteristics of lamps and their effect on the distribution of luminous flux 4. Light field and definition of integral light field characteristics 5. Calculation methods in light engineering - Point method 6. Calculation methods in light technology - Flow method 7. Lighting systems in interiors and their designs - schools, offices, restaurants and shops 8. Lighting systems in interiors and their designs - sports and industrial halls 9. Outdoor lighting systems and their designs - road communications and parking 10. Outdoor lighting systems and their designs - pedestrian zones, historic town centers, playgrounds, ski slopes 11. Energy and economic analysis of the artificial lighting design 12. Illumination of the theater scene and architectural lighting of historic buildings 13. Regulation of indoor and outdoor lighting systems - involvement in the concept of Smart City, Smart Village and Smart Home The course will be supplemented, if possible, by specialized excursions.
