Course content
Lectures: 1. Integrated technology. Logic devices, TTL and CMOS technologies. 2. LSI and MSI devices. 3. Basic function blocks. Decoders, multiplexors, comparators, adders, priority coders. 4. Latches and flip-flops, counters, registers, linear shift registers. 5. Pulse generators and shapers. 6. Combinational and sequential circuits. 7.-8. Transients in digital circuits. 9. Principles of reliable operation of digital devices - Rules for Digital System Design. 10. Programmable logic devices - SPLD, CPLD, FPGA. 11. Memories RAM, ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM, FLASH, static and dynamic. 12. Special types - LIFO, FIFO, double-port. 13. Interference, EMC. Labs 1. Introduction, Laboratory Equipment, Course requirements 2. Digital Circuits - Voltage transfer, Input and Current Supply Consumption Characteristics 3. Digital Circuits - Rise and Fall Time, Propagation Delay Time 4. Input Circuits for Digital Systems (Voltage Limiters, Signal Reshaping) 5. Combinatorial Circuits, Hazards 6. Flip-Flops 7. Counters and Digital Timers 8. Registers, Linear Counters 9. Sequential Circuits Design 10. Monostable Multivibrator, Pulse-Width Modulation Generator 11. Digital Memory - LIFO Memory Design 12. Programmable Logic Devices - Combinatorial Circuits 13. Programmable Logic Devices - Sequential Circuits
