Course content
1. Introduction to medical electronics. Medical electronics categorization. Systems for medical diagnostics and therapy. Measurement of non-electrical quantities on living tissues. 2. Electrophysiology. Electric properties of tissues. 3. Electroencephalography (EEG). Electrocardiography (ECG). Electromyography (EMG). 4. Instruments for electrostimulation, electrotherapy and electrosurgery. 5. Endoscopy. IR termography. 6. Audiometry. Ultrasonography. 7. X-ray technique. 8. Computed tomography. 9. Radiation protection. Radiotherapy. 10. Cooling in medicine. Hyperbaroxia. 11. Magnetic resonance, nuclear medicine. 12. Medical instruments in intensive care units (ICU) and operating rooms. 13. Artificial organs.
