Course content
1. Sound - basic terms and quantities. 2. Sound pressure measurement, equipment, environmental noise measurement. 3. Frequency analysis of sound, methods based on FFT and 1/n-octave analysis - part 1. 4. Frequency analysis of sound, methods based on FFT and 1/n-octave analysis - part 2. 5. Sound intensity and sound power measurement, methods useful in near-field and far-field. 6. Methods of noise sources identification. 7. Vibration - basic terms and quantities, sound and vibration relationship. 8. Vibration measurement, types and principle of sensors, signal conditioning - part 1. 9. Vibration measurement, types and principle of sensors, signal conditioning - part 2. 10. Vibration testing - part 1. 11. Vibration testing - part 2. 12. Experimental modal analysis. 13. Possibilities and principles of noise reduction of machines and equipment.
