Course content
Lectures: 1. Course introduction, computer aided design of electronic equipment. 2. Electric circuit design, library elements structure, electrical rules check definition, technical documentation, link to PCB design. 3. Computer aided design of printed circuit boards, grids definition. 4. Components placement, technological limits, algorithms, optimization functions. 5. Components interconnection, basic rules. 6. Interconnection algorithms, optimization functions. 7. Power circuits design, choice and placement of decoupling capacitors. 8. Design of real equipment (analogue, digital, RF., Switching, A / D converters). 9. Printed circuit boards diagnostics. 10. The link of CAD systems to PCB production technology. Description of technological equipment, postprocessor data structures. 11. The technology support of mounting, soldering and testing. Description of device, data structures. 12. Artworks, NC machine control files, documentation. Labs: 1. Introduction to CAD systems issue solving. 2. Electric circuit design. 3. Electrical rules check, Netlist and Partlist, creation of technical documentation. 4. PCB design, components placement. 5. PCB design, components interconection. 6. PCB design, components interconection. 7. Postprocessors, documentation.
