Learning activities and teaching methods
Laboratory work, Seminar, Practicum
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 32 hours per semester
  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for laboratory testing; outcome analysis (1-8) - 20 hours per semester
prerequisite
Knowledge
The knowledge and abilities on the level of the courses KET/+EM, KTE/+UE a KTE/+TE1. Further, to know the principles of the measurement of electrical resistivity, voltage and current. To design the connection of instruments for power measurement in 3-phase networks. To analyze the interaction of the magnetical fields and electrical current in a wire. To demonstrate the knowledge of Lenze, Faraday and Kirchhoff laws. To apply basic mathematical operations and electrotechnical relations, to be able to express the results numerically, to know the labeling of electrotechnical magnitudes and their physical units.
learning outcomes
The students ? interpret the principles of operation of transformers and electrical machines ? apply the knowledge of the measurement in DC current circuits and perform the analysis of the electrical drive, summarize the requirements posed on it ? sketch out the scheme of a given existing connection of an electrical machine and perform the analysis of the electrical drive, summarizing the requirements placed upon it ? write down the relations which they need for solving the task, substitute the variables with numbers and calculate the result ? put the given connection into operation under the laboratory conditions
