Course content
Lectures: Fundamentals of clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy. Pharmacodynamics. Ways of drug administration, drug forms, therapy systems. Reaction of the organism to the drug, the influence of the disease on the reliability of the drug response. Fundamentals of rational pharmacology. Side-effects of interaction of drugs. Drug administration to children. Drugs and pregnancy. Pharmacotherapy in the old age. The notion of compliance of the patient; OTC drugs. Pre-clinical and clinical assessment of the drug effect. Drugs used in the therapy of gastro-intestinal tract. Drugs used in the therapy of cardio-vascular system. Drugs used in the therapy of respiratory system. Drugs used in the therapy of central nervous system. Drugs used in the therapy of infections and parasite diseases. Drugs used in the therapy of endocrine system. Drugs used in the therapy of urinary-genital system. Drugs used in the therapy of tumor diseases. Drugs used in the therapy of blood circulation diseases. Parenteral, perioral and enteral nutrition.
