Course content
Lectures 1. Basic terms. Drug Nomenclature. Sources of Medication Information. 2. Pharmacodynamics. Adverse drug effects - pharmacovigilance. 3. Pharmacokinetics. Dosage forms and delivery routes of drug delivery. Drug response variability. Drug interactions. 4. Drugs affecting the autonomic nervous system. Spasmolytics and muscle relaxants. Local and general anesthetics. 5. Substances affecting the cardiovascular system and hemostasis. 6. Pharmacological treatment of pain. Hormones in pharmacotherapy. Antibiotics. 7. Respiratory and digestive substances. 8. Contrast media and radionuclides. CNS Influencing Agents. 9. Credit test.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 18 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 20 hours per semester
