Lectures: 1.Cell physiology. Energy obtaining. Polariztion of cellular membrane.Ion canals and their function. Resting and action potential. 2.Physiology of muscular tissue. 3. Physiology of blood. Hemoglobin and its metabolisms. Energy balance of red cells. Sedimentation. Hematocrit. Leukocyte - division, function, phagocytosis. Thrombocytes - function. Homeostasis. The mechanism of coagulation. Fibrinolysis. The differential blood count. 4. Physiology of immune system. Specific and nonspecific immunity. 5. Physiology of cardiovascular system. electrical activity of cardiomyocytes, resting and action potential. EEG. Heart revolution. Starling principle. External symptoms of cardiac activity. Haemodynamics of blood circulation. Flow and pressure in the arteries. Microcirculation. Blood flow and pressure in veins. Control of blood circulation. Physiology of edema. 6. Physiology of excretion - renal function (nephron). 7. Physiology of gastro-intestinal tract - mechanical function, regulatory mechanisms, creation of juices and enzymes and tissue hormones, absorption of nutrients and minerals, basal metabolism, energy equivalent. The conversion of compounds and energy. 8. Physiology of respiratory system. 9. Physiology of reproductive system. Menstruation. 10. Physiology of endocrine system. 11. Mechanism of nerve control. Hierarchy of CNS effects on peripheral organs. 12. Learning, memory, sleep. 13. Physiology of eye. 14. Physiology of ear and balance system. 15. Physiology of skin. Receptors. Practical excercises: 1.-2.. Physiology of respiratory system - lung volumes. Spirometry. 3.-4. Specification of muscle strength. 5.-9.. Blood groups - division. Specification of blood groups.
