Pathology among other medical specialisations. Methods of pathology. Dissection, necropsy, biopsy. Disease and its causes. Internal causes of disease. External causes of disease. Symptoms of disease. Regressive changes. Necrosis, decubitus, gangrene. Atrophy. Dystrophy. Disorders of protein metabolism, amyloidosis, hyaline and fibrinous degeneration. Fat and sugar metabolism disorders. Water and minerals metabolism disorders. Inflammation. Definition,characteristics and manifestations of inflammation. Non-specific inflammation, forms of non-specific inflammations. Specific inflammation, characteristics. Infection and immunity. Infectious disease and its symptoms. Bacteriaemia, sepsis, pyaemia, septical shock, immunity disorders. Allergy, forms of allergical reactions, manifestations of allergy. Immunodeficiency, its forms and causes. Progressive changes. Regeneration and reparation. Hypertrophy and hyperplasy. Benign and malignant tumours, characteristics, classification, manifestations. Blood and haematogenesis disorders. Leucopenia and agranulocytosis. Aneamia, forms, etiology, pathogenesis.
