Course content
Lectures 1. Illness and its causes. Etiology and pathogenesis of diseases. Types of necrosis and their healing. Heart attack - definition, types of heart attacks. Gangrene. Atrophy. 2. Inflammation, types of inflammation. Inflammations specific. Total infections (bacteraemia, sepsis, pyemia). 3. Progressive changes. Regeneration. Reparation. Hypertrophy, hyperplasia. Metaplasia, dysplasia and precancerosis. Benign and malignant tumors. 4. Pathophysiology of cardiovascular system. 5. Pathophysiology of respiratory system. 6. Pathophysiology of gastrointestinal system. 7. Pathophysiology of the excretory system. 8. Pathophysiology of the reproductive tract. 9. Pathology of pregnancy. 10. Basics of pathology and pathophysiology of the immune system and blood. 11. Pathology of CNS.

Learning activities and teaching methods
