Course content
Course content: (4 weeks in summer ? 8 hours a day, i.e. 160 hours of which 2 weeks are devoted to complex balneal therapy) 1. Complex physiotherapy in traumatology: injuries of skin, joints, tendons, muscles and blood vessels, burns, upper and lower limb fractures, fractures of the spine and their complications, upper and lower limb dislocation, hand injuries. 2. Complex physiotherapy in surgery. Preoperative and postoperative care in thoracic, abdominal and brain surgery, physiotherapy in intensive care units. 3. Complex physiotherapy in orthopaedics. Methodology and principles of physiotherapy in wrong posture, in spine defects in sagittal and frontal planes, in thoracic cage disorders and upper and lower limb disorders. Methodology and principles of physiotherapy after operations maintaining movement in joints, consolidating joints, correcting deformities. 4. Complex physiotherapy in gyneacology and obstetrics. Preoperative and postoperative care after gynaecological vaginal and abdominal surgery, physiotherapy in pregnancy, puerperium and urology. 5. Complex physiotherapy in paediatrics. Methodology and principles of physiotherapy of respiratory diseases, methodology and principles of physiotherapy in cardiac children. Methodology and principles of physiotherapy of gastroenterologic diseases, enuresis, hemophilia. 6. Use of soft techniques (skin, subcutaneous tissue, fascia), postisometric relaxation in vertebrogenic algic syndromes. 7. Complex spa treating in choosen spa device

Competences: After completing the course students can under supervision, perform diagnostic aspection and palpation and the recommended rehabilitation plan based on theoretical knowledge and kinesiotherapy anamnesis applies the approach in practice. They uses aids and supports the client to take an active approach including education with the aim of maximum self-sufficiency, improve or maintain the status quo in traumatology, surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, gynecology and pediatric pneumonologie.
Skills
The student will choose from the medical documentation essential information in the field of surgery and intensive medicine, will take a history, will use the relevant methods of examining the patient, will propose and apply the prevention of immobilization syndrome, taking into consideration the desired effects, chooses and carries out all procedures of mechanotherapy, small and large hydrotherapy. The student performs balls facilitation, demonstrates and conducts spinal exercises and automotive exercises according to Kaltenborn, carries out methodologies to increase the range of motion, designs and implements physiotherapeutic intervention after injuries in the area of individual joints. The student will perform muscle testing by muscle test, verify the quantity and quality of movement in the joints, perform static and dynamic examination of standing, express deviations in walking due to correct stereotype of walking.

Knowledge
The student characterizes the problem of the disease, based on anamnestic data, enumerate diagnostics and therapy options, evaluates the condition of the patient due to the diagnosis, justifies the proposed rehabilitation plan and use of the aids, defines the exercises with professional expressions and describes the selected elements of therapy.
Skills
Student performs diagnostics of aspects and palpation, tests muscle strength, range of motion, verticalization, locomotion, self-sufficiency, proposes methodology in the short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan, conducts manual therapy and exercises according to the patient's condition and the stated goal. Apply elements of special methodologies.
