Course content
1st Introduction to Internal Medicine. 2nd Basic methods of investigation in VL. Special methods of investigation in VL. 3rd General symptoms - subjective symptoms, impaired consciousness, temperature, pressure, trouble from the GIT. 4th Therapeutic approaches in VL. Basics rational pharmacotherapy. 5th Functional examination, risk factors for atherosclerosis. 6th Ischemic heart disease. 7th Diseases of the peripheral arteries and veins. 8th Malignant diseases of the lungs and bronchi. 9th Diseases of the esophagus and stomach. Diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas. 10th Diseases of the small intestine and colon. Functional GI disorders, irritable bowel syndrome. 11th Obesity and malnutrition, celiac disease, anorexia nervosa. Medical nutrition dietary systems, malnutrition, nutritional support. 12th Diabetes mellitus I.a II. type. 13th Complications of diabetes-nephropathy, retinopathy and neuropathy.
