Course content
The topics: the subject-matter of logic, logical monism and logical pluralism, Frege and foundations of logical semantics, Russell's theory of definite descriptions, semantics of proper names, logical and semantic paradoxes, definitions, (alethic) modal logic, possible world semantics, deontic logic, epistemic logic, many-valued logic, intuitionist logic

Course requires no special prior knowledge and skills.
learning outcomes
Students will deepen their knowledge of the nature of the subject-matter of logic and of its methods and of philosophical problems connected with development of various logical systems. They will master the related professional terminology. They will also get acquainted with languages of non-classical logics, with fundamental motivations of their development and applications of the systems.
