Course content
Specification and stages of a philosophy of religion development; its relation to religious studies and theology; God's nature and attributes: independence, goodness, power, eternity, knowledge, providence; Trinity and Incarnation; ontology and its criticism; faith and reason; theism, deism; criticism of religion from antiquity to present days; religion and science; relation between morals, ethics and religion; analytical philosophy of religion; confessional philosophy of religion; position of religion in philosophy and science; idea of religious tolerance and multiculturalism.

Course requires no special prior knowledge and skills.
learning outcomes
Students will be able to recognise and formulate basic issues in philosophy of religion and connect them with contemporary world events. Students asses and evaluate influence of religion on the philosophy (and vice versa). They compare methods and aims of philosophy, religious studies and theology and realize their differences and uniqueness. Students will identify relicts of religious contents in apparently secular philosophical texts. They will evaluate significance of philosophy of religion for modern culture and contemporary philosophy.
