Course content
Theses topics are focused: Traditional ontological categories and a present science. Problem of determinacy of nature. Determinism and natural laws. Deterministic chaos. Mechanicism and reductionism. Vitalism and emergentism. Evolution of animate and inanimate nature. Dissipative systems. Selfish gene and memetics. Evolutionism and creationism. Human and nature, biosphere and technosphere. Ecological crisis, alternative resolutions. Principles of permanent maintainable progress.

learning outcomes
Students are able to summarize and explain basic problems connected with philosophical reflection of nature. They compare ideas of the most important authorities interested in these problems and they evaluate dominant views of nature in particular historical periods.
