Students comprehend and acquire main attitudes in 19th century philosophy. They explain philosophical conceptions, attitudes and ideals at that time. Students distinguish particular positions and introduce their line of reasoning and its background. At the same time they define presuppositions of their conceptions, contextualise their consequences and recognize their motivations. Students analyse particular philosophical attitudes and compare them on the basis of reading of primary and secondary sources. They sum up the importance of 19th century philosophy to the subsequent history of philosophy and to the formation of modern European culture.
